A screenshot of an email conversation between Comex and Will Sayer after the iPad 2 jailbreak leak reveals that the official jailbreak may be released within the next day.
MultiMediaWill (Sayer) posted the following message on MacRumors:
"As a few of you know, comex wanted to talk to me by email. This is an exact copy of the emails to me. It appears that he confirms the JB release date. This may be a setup by him of some sort so take it as you want."
According to the screenshot comex tells Sayer at 1:49AM on July 4th:
"No, I didn't see your tweets. (I think they were deleted?) But if no more issues come up, it should be ready by tomorrow."
Depending on how you read this, it suggests that Comex could release the jailbreak on July 4th or July 5th.
You can see the screenshot below; however, please note we are unable to verify its authenticity.
Good news!
I was wisiting jailbreakme.com about an hour ago and the "it has been too log" imaga was changed to the old 2.0 jailbreak page. Somethings happening...
I can 2nd this. Last night for about 30 minutes the root of jailbreakme.com kept switching back and forth to the old jailbreak page. Not the /star/ directory, the root. Then it stopped and went back to the 'it's been far to long' page. It was like he was configuring all the useragent settings to properly forward users to the correct pages after he launches jailbreakme 3.0.
If you usually type for exmaple J in the search bar and then click it, you may have it saved as http://jailbreakme.com// Notice the two '//' at the end. With them it'll take you to the star directory but if you have just the one '/' you'll go to 'its been to long'
Fully aware of that, but thats not it. Simply hitting the refresh button on the root of jailbreakme.com was switching back and forth between the star old jailbreak page & the 'it's been ar to long" page at different time intervals for like 30-45 minutes, then stopped and went back to staying at the "it's been far to long" permanently... Anyway, now it's showing a postit note saying it will be right back.
Your imagination is running wild. Mine is too cause im just dying for the iPad 2 jailbreak already. And by the way comex we love you and all the devs for your long hours of work just so little guys like us can enjoy our devices to the fullest.
