Apple Plans to 'Radically Improve' iOS Maps

Apple is looking for an iOS Maps Application Developer to help it 'radically improve' maps and location services on its iDevices, according to a recent job posting.

Apple has long been rumored to be working on its open Maps solution for iOS. Last December four job listings were found for software engineers experienced in developing navigation software. Apple also acquired PlaceBase and Poly9. Both companies specialized in mapping services.
Some believe that Apple plans to introduce its own Maps application to reduce the iPhone's dependance on Google.
