Apple has added a new feature to capture your handwritten signature and place it into documents using Mac OS X Lion and Preview.

Discovered by a 9to5Mac reader, the new 'Signature Capture' is accessed from the Annotate toolbar.

Simply hold up a piece of paper to your computer's camera and Preview will capture the signature and store it for future use.

isn't it just easier to sign the trackpad with your finger and use it as a signature?

yeah, have you tried out hellofax.com? you can sign with your trackpad. if that's not your thing, you can also upload your own signature.
