Will I get charged by my wireless provider for using this app and tethering feature ? I still have unlimited data for my iPhone and do not have tethering authorized through my plan.

With this app you don't need the tethering feature built into the phone. This app can be a wireless hotspot if you don't have your usb cable, with the cable it's a little faster with data transfer and I guess the bluetooth feature will be useful for some. I also have an unlimited plan and ATT hasn't noticed. I have also used Pandora at work since I got the phone so I already was a high bandwidth user. I avarage 10GB of data usage a month.

Wow that's great news. I'm still reluctant though because I've heard about people getting caught by AT&T in the past and getting back charged $500-$1000 for the data that they've used through unauthorized tethering. Any comments?

It doesn't show as a pending update when I open cydia. I bought the 4.xx version. Upgrade is free right??

When you figure $20 once vs. a monthly internet cost it's not a bad deal at all. Because of MyWi I now have internet at home. I'm not a gamer so I don't really need super fast connect speeds. I certainly can't download a slew of torrents either but that's also not a concern. I average 1.5 to 3 mb, sometimes better on cool nights. Perfect for just surfing the net. It was the 1st app I bought after jailbreaking 4.0.1 on my 3Gs.

More expansive than jailbreak. Without jailbreak it's useless.

Uhhhh jailbreaking is free so of course its more expensive. $20 is definitely worth it. Never know when you are going to need it and it's saved my but plenty of times.

What advantage is bluetooth over wifi? I can't think of a reason for it. Also, $20 is reasonable. I saved over $100 on my iPad and $20 a month every month after! This ap paid for itself several times over.

bridging the bluetooth to the WiFi connection can help in certain situations. Imagine you pay for a in-flight Go-Go Internet connection to your iPhone but you want to use all your gadgets? Simply share the connection over bluetooth to your laptop. But if you bought the in-flight connection for your laptop, you wouldn't be able to share the connection with your iPhone. Just one way you could use it...

It used to be $10.00 when ROCK and CYDIA were separate but once they both merge in CYDIA guy started charging $20.00 for it. I also think it shouldn't be so much. $10.00 is reasonable but not $20.00

Not true ..... I have used it for over a year now. It used to be for $10 for the iOS 3.x version .... then when iOS 4 came out there were two choices. $10 for iOS 3.x and $20 for iOS 4.x .... and there was an upgrade option so users like me paid $5 (or $10 .... I can't honestly really recall) ........ this was LOOOOONG before the Cydia Rock acquisition ......

It's the best app for tethering. First, it's always worked as advertised. Second, it has a feature you can customize to save the battery. The price was $10 for older versions, and $20 for new 4.0 version; which you could get for $10 upgrade fee. Now, with the integration into Cydia store, you could install it in any of your iDevices.
