How to Quickly Boot Your Tethered Jailbroken iPhone (Windows)

These are instructions on how to quickly boot your tethered jailbroken iPhone using RedSn0w for Windows.

Step One
Create a Pwnage folder on your Desktop and in it place:
RedSn0w 0.9.6rc7
● Your iPhone firmware ipsw (download here)

Step Two
Double click the RedSn0w archive to extract it.

Step Three
Press the Windows and R key then input cmd and click OK to launch the Command Prompt.

Step Four
Input the following command for devices with the new bootrom:

%homepath%DesktopPwnageredsn0w_win_0.9.6rc7redsn0w.exe -j -i %homepath%DesktopPwnageiPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw

Input the following command for devices with the old bootrom (iPod 2G, iPhone 3GS):
%homepath%DesktopPwnageredsn0w_win_0.9.6rc7redsn0w.exe -j -o -i %homepath%DesktopPwnageiPhone2,1_4.2.1_8C148a_Restore.ipsw

**Important: remember to change the filename to the filename of the ipsw you downloaded in Step One.

Step Five
RedSn0w will now open, instruct you on placing your iPhone into DFU mode if it isn't already, and boot your device.

when the redsn0w open it say's the ipsw file not recognized and after i changed the name to a.ipsw it's opened normaly put after jailbreak nothing changed

To be more robust instead of using "%homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\..." you should also use %homedrive% as in "%homedrive%%homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\..." otherwise people whose user profile is on a different drive then their OS will have issues.

hi when i enter the following sentince %homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\redsn0w_win_0.9.6rc7\redsn0w.exe -j -i %homepath%\Desktop\Pwnage\iPhone3,1_4.2.1_8C148_Restore.ipsw its says THE SYSTEM CANNOT FIND THE PATH SPEIFIED WHILE I DO ALL THE INSTRUCTION HERE SO PLEASE CAN YOU HELP ME WITH THIS PROBLEM THANKS

Damn,......... this is what they called "one click thether" ???????????? Honestly i dont understand what is the point of working such kind of complicated tool, instead of this they may work on real 1 click tool, such as "blackra1n" which was earlier released by my hero GeoHotz ;)

Damn... instead of getting the Untether JB update we are getting an update for quick boot!!! either quick boot or regular boot , the device will boot in both ways so nothing new!

Why are old bootrom devices included here? Their jailbreaks are untethered and don't require redsn0w to boot (only to initially JB or change boot logo).
