Apple to Hold iPod Event in Mid August?

Apple may be holding its typical September iPod event in mid August this year, according to a MacMagazine report.
The site says it has received information from a "reliable source within Apple" that the event will be held between the 14th and 16th and is betting on a Monday(16th) or Tuesday(17th) announcement.
From what we heard so far, the focus of the event will be the new iPod touch (possibly with front camera for FaceTime and rear lens similar to the iPhone 3G - but with flash - in addition to adding a gyroscope) and the arrival of the iOS 4 for the iPad.
At last years event, Apple introduced a new iPod nano adding a video camera, mic and speaker. They also updated the iPod touch and gave color to the iPod shuffle. It was called the 'most disappointing' iPod release in history. Hopefully, the iPod touch will finally get that camera update this year.
MacRumors recently posted images of what may be the front LCD and bezel of the upcoming 4th generation iPod Touch showing a FaceTime camera. HardMac also posted photo illustrations of an iPod touch with a camera and flash.
