How Do I Turn Off Auto-Connect for Wi-Fi Networks on My iPhone?

Hi all, my iPhone keeps auto-connecting to Wi-Fi networks I don’t want to join, like public ones when I’m out. I’d rather stay on my data plan. Is there a setting to turn off this auto-connect feature? I’ve checked Settings > Wi-Fi but can’t find it. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

To turn off auto-connect for Wi-Fi networks on your iPhone and stay on your data plan, follow these steps:
1. Go to Settings > Wi-Fi.
2. Tap the “i” next to any network you don’t want and toggle off Auto-Join.
3. Scroll down in Wi-Fi settings and enable Ask to Join Networks. This ensures your iPhone asks before joining new Wi-Fi, keeping you on cellular data.
This should solve it for any iPhone model. If it’s still connecting, try a power cycle or a software update which can be done from Settings > General > Software Update.
