Ipad at 5.11. Do I have to update or miss future jb?

I've got a Jailbroken iPad at 5.1,1.
I missed the window for 6.1.2.
Is it more likely that the next jailbreak will be for a current version (so I can install then jailbreak) or is it more likely that the next one will be for a version that the upgrade window has closed (for example 7.0.2).
i.e., are most people giving up the current jailbreak at 5.1.1 or 6.1.2 in the hope that they'll be at a jailbreakable version of 7 when the jb comes out?
I hope that makes sense! I'd rather not loose the jailbreak if possible.

Hey there, what version iPad do you have?
I've got an Ipad2 and I was in the same situation as you. But as the systems has been used for almost an year with jb, it got slow. I've tried to re-restore it with a fresh start, but at some point failed. I'm now on iOS 7.
If your Ipad is functioning well, I would stick to the old iOS5.1.1. with jb , because I guess you use the jb for some tweaks which are not available on the original OS. I miss my portrait mail tweak.
If you need apps that needs iOS6+ then u might consider to upgrade. But not sure if there will be an jb for 7. Good luck with your decision.
