Can I downgrade my 3GS from 6.0 to either 5.1 or 4.3?

My iphone is purchased a month back, it came with version 5.0 with 5.1 available as soon as i connected to itunes the very first time. I was on 5.1.1 but battery life was very poor. I upgraded to 6.0 on the day it was released. I want to downgrade to 5.1 or 4.3. Is that possible? Its not jailbroken and its official unlocked version of iphone 3GS india with modem firmware 05.16.07
