Apple has announced the winners of the 2025 App Store Awards, honoring 17 apps and games that stood out for craftsmanship, smart design, and the way they helped people get things done. The selections were chosen by the App Store editorial team from a group of 45 finalists revealed last month, spanning iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, Apple TV, and Apple Vision Pro.
Tim Cook praised this year's developers, saying Apple continues to be encouraged by creators who use the platform to bring new ideas to life. Several of the winning titles lean on AI in practical ways — not as a headline feature, but to simplify tasks or make the experience noticeably smoother.
On iPhone, the visual planning app Tiimo earned App of the Year, with Pokémon TCG Pocket taking the top game honor. For iPad, the AI-assisted editor Detail won App of the Year, while the atmospheric fishing adventure DREDGE was named iPad Game of the Year. Mac users saw the writing assistant Essayist and Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition take home the platform's awards.
Apple also spotlighted standout work on its other devices. Explore POV won Apple Vision Pro App of the Year for its immersive travel experiences, while the spatial puzzle title Porta Nubi received Game of the Year on the headset. Strava earned Apple Watch App of the Year, and HBO Max led the Apple TV category. Apple Arcade's top honor went to the party game WHAT THE CLASH?.
In addition to the main categories, Apple named six Cultural Impact winners — apps and games that offered meaningful tools or perspectives. The list includes Be My Eyes, which connects blind and low-vision users with volunteers and AI assistance, and The StoryGraph, which encourages discovery and community in the reading world. Also recognized were Art of Fauna, Chants of Sennaar, despelote, and Focus Friend.
