iOS 19 Leak: Gurman Says Recent Mockups Miss the Mark

Reporter Mark Gurman has cast doubt on iOS 19 mockups circulating today, likely those from leaker Jon Prosser's latest Front Page Tech video. Hours after Prosser shared a visionOS-inspired redesign for Apple's next iOS update, Gurman suggested these images don't match what's coming at WWDC 2025. Prosser's video, with its alleged design updates, has fueled discussion, but Gurman sees a gap between the visuals and reality.

In a post on X this evening, Gurman wrote: "iOS 19 images floating around aren't representative of what we'll see at WWDC. They look to be based on either very old builds or vague descriptions, missing key features. Expect more from Apple in June. Regardless, mockups - real or not - are always exciting for Apple watchers."

Prosser's video showcased updates to the Camera app, lock screen notifications, and native apps like Messages and TV, all with rounded edges and a dark mode lean. He linked the design to visionOS, a claim Gurman has echoed in past Bloomberg reports about iOS 19's major redesign.


Gurman's take implies Prosser's mockups—featuring a floating keyboard and nods to apps like Sports and Invites—rely on outdated or incomplete info, missing key pieces. He didn't specify what's absent, though his prior reporting suggests a broader overhaul.
