New iPhone 17 Pro Dummy Models Allegedly Reveal Part-Aluminum Part-Glass Design

New iPhone 17 dummy models have surfaced online that appear to reveal where the rear casing of the iPhone 17 Pro will transition between aluminum and glass.

The dummy models were shared on X by leaker Sonny Dickson.

Here's another look at some iPhone 17 dummies, Notice on the Pro models where the glass will change.


According to recent report from The Information, the camera bump will be aluminum and the larger rectangular portion of the rear cover will be glass for wireless charging.

The back of the Pro and Pro Max models will feature a new part-aluminum, part-glass design. The top of the back will comprise a larger rectangular camera bump made of aluminum rather than traditional 3D glass. The bottom half will remain glass to accommodate wireless charging, two people said.

The dummy models also confirm the now widely rumored iPhone 17 Air with runway strip camera bump and the very large camera bump that extends across the entire back of the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max models.
