Apple CEO Tim Cook will personally donate $1 million to President Trump's inauguration, according to a report from Axios.
Cook, a proud Alabama native, believes the inauguration is a great American tradition, and is donating to the inauguration in the spirit of unity, the sources said. The company is not expected to give.
The donation adds to a growing list of companies and individuals reportedly supporting the event, including Amazon, AT&T, Bank of America, Charter Communications, Charter Pratt, Coinbase, Ford, General Motors, Goldman Sachs, Intuit, Kraken, Meta, OpenAI, PhRMA, Stanley Black & Decker, Toyota, and Uber.
Last month, Cook reportedly met with Trump over dinner at the Mar-a-Lago club in Palm Beach. While the details of their conversation remain unknown, Cook has been recognized for fostering a strong working relationship with Trump during his previous administration, which helped Apple navigate trade tariffs that could have impacted its business.
