Apple is already working on the next-generation iPhone 17e, with trial production set to begin soon, according to a new report from leaker Fixed Focus Digital.
In a post on Weibo, the leaker claims that an upgrade to the production line for the iPhone 17e has already been scheduled.
The 17e production line upgrade has already been scheduled… Riddle solved: There will still be a 17e next year, and it's already nearing the trial production stage.
Apple just released the iPhone 16e in February. The device replaced the low-cost iPhone SE in the company's lineup but launched at a higher price point than some expected. It features a 6.1-inch display, an A18 chip, Apple Intelligence, long battery life, and a 48MP 2-in-1 camera system. Additionally, the iPhone 16e is the first iPhone to include an in-house Apple-designed modem, the C1.
The next-generation iPhone 17e is not expected until Spring 2026. For now, the iPhone 16e is available starting at $599 USD. You can check out some reviews here.
