Display Out is a new application by Ryan Petrich for your iPad. It mirrors the iPad screen on an external display.

Will this work on the iPhone also? Or is there a app for the iPhone that will do the same thing? I can output video to the Tv but I would like to output the screen at anytime, just to play around with games. It may not look good but I would like to check it out.

yes, it is Display Out, the same app, but you have to jailbreak your phone. You can find the app in Cydia. I have it, and it does exactly what it is supposed to do. Resolution isn't amazing, but you can't expect HD.

I couldn't find it for the iPhone, and it wouldn't let me install the ipad version. I may not have the sources you have but I also did a google search and didn't see it.

I do apologize. Look up Landscape TV Out and another one I hadn't tried until tonight is Screensplitr. Landscape TV Out is the one I have been using, but for the 5 minutes or so I tried screensplitr tonight, it seemed to work well. Hope this helps. Again sorry about not giving correct info earlier.

Free Cydia app "TVOut2" does the same thing for iPhone (and ipad in fact)
