Comcast has announced plans to launch a three-way bundle of Apple TV+, Netflix, and Peacock at a 'vastly reduced price', reports Variety.
Speaking Tuesday at MoffettNathanson's 2024 Media, Internet and Communications Conference in New York, Comcast chief Brian Roberts revealed that the bundle will be dubbed 'StreamSaver' and will be available to all its broadband, TV, and mobile customers.
The three streaming services, Peacock, Netflix and Apple TV+, will "come at a vastly reduced price to anything available today," Roberts said, although he didn't reveal any pricing details. The goal is to "add value to consumers" and "take dollars out" of other companies' streaming businesses, he added, while reinforcing Comcast's broadband service offerings. "This will be a pretty compelling package," Roberts promised.
Currently, the cheapest subscription (ad-supported) for Peacock is $5.99/month (going up to $7.99/month in July. Netflix Basic with ads is $6.99/month and Apple TV+ is $9.99/month.
The bundle will follow another recently announced package from Disney and Warner Bros. Discovery that includes Max, Disney+, and Hulu. That bundle will be able in the U.S. this summer. Additionally, Disney, WBD, and Fox have formed a joint venture launch a streaming sports bundle with ESPN+ and linear TV networks. That's expected to debut this fall.
