iPhone 15 Display Panel Orders 'Off to a Very Strong Start' [Report]

Display panel orders for the next generation iPhone 15 are 'off to a very strong start', according to a new report from Display Chain Supply Consultants.
We are seeing panel shipments beginning for the iPhone 15 series in June. For the period of June – July, iPhone 15 panel shipments are expected to be 100% higher than iPhone 14 series during the same time period in 2022. With the current mix of panel shipments for the iPhone 15 series, the Pro models account for a 58% share versus a 43% share for the iPhone 14 Pro models during the June – July period.
DCSS also reiterates expectations that the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will feature larger 6.12-inch and 6.69-inch displays, as well as, Dynamic Island, the A16 Bionic chipset, and USB-C. The iPhone 15 Pro models are expected to feature a 3nm A17 Bionic chipset, ultra-thin bezels, Wi-Fi 6E, and more RAM.
Looking at the iPhone 14, Display Chain Supply Consultants expects Q2 2023 shipments to reach 29 million units compared to the iPhone 13 series with 32 million shipped in Q2 2022.
Over a 12-month period through June, the analysts expect the iPhone 14 Pro Max to have a 34% share of shipments, followed by the iPhone 14 with 30%, the iPhone 14 Pro with 27% and the iPhone 14 Plus with 10%.
