A new rumor claims that Apple will keep ProMotion and Always-On Display exclusive to the 'Pro' models of its next generation iPhone 15. This is despite the expectation that the iPhone 15 will get Dynamic Island.
According to a post on Naver by yeux1122, only the iPhone 15 Pro series will support the LTPO 120Hz refresh rate.
Translation:
Apple has already completed preparations for the delivery of the iPhone 15 series diff panel to domestic companies, and it is said that it will confirm details sooner or later and prepare for mass production. What is confirmed here is that only the pro series supports the LTPO 120 refresh rate, and the basic general plus model does not have that content in the requirements .
While unconfirmed, this could be a feature that Apple will use to distinguish between standard and pro models. Display analyst Ross Young predicted the same thing last year. The iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Pro are both expected to get Dynamic Island, Ceramic Shield, and a 28nm OLED driver, but rumors suggest the iPhone 15 Pro will have thinner bezels, solid state buttons, and 8GB of RAM.
The iPhone 15 Pro will likely utilize an A17 Bionic chip made with TSMC's 3nm process, while the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus will stick with the A16 Bionic and 6GB of RAM. All four models will purportedly have a USB-C port and Qualcomm's 5G Snapdragon X70 modem.
Finally, it's predicted the iPhone 15 Pro Max will feature a periscope telephoto lens for better optical zoom while the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus could get a 48MP rear camera lens.
