Apple Hires Former Facebook CIO to Lead Information Systems and Technology Department [Report]

Apple has hired former Facebook CIO Timothy Campos to lead its Information Systems and Technology department, according to a Bloomberg report.
Timothy Campos will lead the Information Systems and Technology department, better known as IS&T, which handles the infrastructure behind Apple’s online services, customer support and website. Apple refers to the operation as its “nerve center” because it lets employees, suppliers and customers stay connected. The division reports to Chief Financial Officer Luca Maestri.
Apple made the hire because current chief Mary Demby is reportedly retiring after this year. Additionally, her deputy, VP of Software Engineering David Smoley, is also retiring after three years with the company.
Campos was CIO at Facebook from 2010 to 2016, then he co-founded calendar app Woven, which was acquired by Slack last year. Although Campos hasn't confirmed the news, his LinkedIn says he's "getting ready for something new".
This isn't the only key position Apple is working to fill. Last month, Bloomberg revealed that Evans Hankey, the company's head of industrial design, is leaving the company. Hankey has been in the role for three years.
