iPhone Display Design Roadmap [Image]

Apple plans to drop the notch and update its entire iPhone 15 lineup with a 'pill + hole' cutout design, according to a new report from Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants.

Young recently shared his predictions for the display design of the iPhone, starting from this year's new iPhone 14 to the 2026 iPhone 18.

Based on the technical challenges remaining for under panel cameras to meet discerning brands quality requirements as well as panel manufacturers' cost requirements, I still believe this roadmap makes sense for the iPhone.


According to the roadmap, the iPhone 18 Pro will be the first iPhone to feature both under display Face ID and an under display front facing camera. The iPhone 16 Pro will be the first to get under display Face ID.
