Apple to Release New AirPods Pro This Fall, Refresh AirPods Max With New Colors [Gurman]

Apple is purportedly planning to release new AirPods Pro this fall and will likely refresh AirPods Max with new color options, according to Bloomberg's Mark Gurman.

In his weekly PowerOn newsletter, Gurman says...

Look out for new AirPods Pro in the fall. The current model has been on the market since fall of 2019, so the batteries are already probably in trouble for some early adopters. Also look out for an AirPods Max refresh with new colors (and, we hope, a price drop—$550 is absurd for those headphones).


AirPods Pro 2 are expected to feature a new form factor design, support for Apple Lossless (ALAC) format, and a charging case that emits a sound for users to track.

Currently, AirPods Pro are on sale for $174.99, down from $249 and AirPods Max are on sale for $449, down from $549.
