Apple may be planning to discontinue the Apple Watch Series 3 this year, according to Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities.
In a recent tweet, Kuo says,
Apple Watch Series 3 may go to end-of-life (EOL) in 3Q22 because the computing power can’t meet the requirements of the new watchOS.
Apple is expected to unveil watchOS 9 at its Worldwide Developers Conference in June. If the Apple Watch Series 3 doesn't support the new software update, we should find out then.
The Apple Watch Series 3 is still being sold by Apple despite being first released back in 2017.
