Apple may not be planning to release a mini-LED 11-inch iPad Pro this year, according to Ross Young, CEO of Display Supply Chain Consultants.
Young recently predicted that Apple has begun production on a 27-inch mini-LED display for release in June. Unfortunately, his sources also say that the 11-inch iPad Pro will not get a mini-LED display in 2022.
Panel production has started for the new 27" MiniLED display to launch mid year. Assuming it will be called Studio Display Pro...I have insight on the 12.9" MiniLED iPad Pro as well. It is doing really well. They don't need to do one at 11". Don't expect it this year.
That would leave just the 12.9-inch iPad Pro with a mini-LED display for another year. Apple says the 'Liquid Retina XDR' display features 10,000 mini-LEDs that deliver 'intense highlights, subtle details, and deep blacks'. Currently, the 12.9-inch iPad Pro is on sale for $100 off, bringing its price down to $999.
