These are instructions on how to forget a Wi-Fi network on your iPhone.
You may need to do this if your iOS device keeps connecting to a wireless network you don't want it to. Your iPhone remembers each Wi-Fi network it has joined and attempts to automatically rejoin a network when in range. If you want to prevent this or join the same network with a different password, there's no need to reset network settings, just follow these steps to forget that network.
Tap to launch the Settings app from your Springboard, then select Wi-Fi.
You'll be shown a list of available Wi-Fi networks. Tap the Info button corresponding to the network you'd like to forget, then tap Forget This Network.
The Info button is a blue lowercase i inside a blue circle. You can find it on the right side of available Wi-Fi networks.
To confirm, tap Forget on the popup that appears.
● If your device is managed or supervised by your work or school, you may not be allowed to forget that Wi-Fi network.
● As an alternative to forgetting saved Wi-Fi networks, you can also choose to turn off Auto-Join for that network. You iPhone will remember its network settings but will not attempt to automatically connect.
● You can also forget saved Wi-Fi networks on your Mac. On macOS, unlike iOS devices, you can set the order of Wi-Fi networks so that your preferred networks are joined first. Check out those instructions here: How to Forget a Wi-Fi Network on Mac.
