Apple may unveil new 5G iPhone SE and iPad Air models at a special event on March 8th, according to a report from Bloomberg.
Apple Inc. is targeting a date on or near March 8 to unveil a new low-cost iPhone and an updated iPad, according to people with knowledge of the matter, kicking off a potentially record-setting year for product launches.
This would be Apple's first major event since debuting the M1 Pro/Max MacBooks in October. It will likely be a virtual event.
The iPhone SE 3 is widely rumored to feature a 4.7-inch display, an A15 processor, an improved sensor for the rear 12MP camera, an X60M 5G baseband chip, and an additional 1GB of RAM for a total of 4GB.
The new iPad Air's specs will likely be similar to the iPad mini (6th generation) with an A15 Bionic chip, 12MP ultra-wide front camera, quad-LED True Tone flash, and 5G support.
Notably, Bloomberg isn't ruling out a new Mac.
The company is also planning a new Mac with Apple-designed chips, which could also come as early as March.
It's unclear if they are referring to a M1 Pro/Max Mac mini or the highly anticipated iMac Pro. Recent reports have suggested the new iMac Pro won't arrive until summer.
