How to Enable Spatial Audio on Your iPhone [Video]
Posted October 4, 2020 at 9:45pm by iClarified
These are instructions on how to enable Spatial Audio on your iPhone. You'll need iOS 14 and AirPods Pro to follow these steps.
When enabled, spatial audio uses dynamic head tracking to create an immersive surround sound experience. You'll hear surround sound channels in the right place, even as you turn your head or move your iPhone.
Step One
Connect your AirPods Pro to your iPhone and place the earbuds in your ears.
Step Two
Swipe down from the top right of your display to launch Control Center
Step Three
Press and hold the Audio control then tap the Spacial Audio button to enable the feature.
By default, spatial audio makes it sound like the audio is coming from your iPhone, even when your head moves. You can change this behavior so that the audio sounds like it’s following your head movement.
To do this...
Tap Settings from your Springboard and then select Accessibility from the Settings menu.
Choose AirPods from the Accessibility menu then tap to switch the Follow iPhone toggle to the OFF position.
