Apple has posted instructions and CAD files to help manufacturers produce its COVID-19 face shields.
Learn how to fabricate your own face shield using the following instructions.
The company does warn that its instructions should only be followed by a professional.
These manufacturing instructions should only be used by an expert. Manufacturing the face shields requires professional level expertise in manufacturing and design, and should only be done by professional engineers or machinists in a factory environment.
The shield and forehead band are both made from .5mm thick Clear PET or PETG and the strap is made from 1.4-1.6mm thick silicone (latex-free).
