How to Unlock 1.1.2-1.1.4 iPhones with ZiPhone 2.5 GUI (Mac)

These are step by step instructions how to jailbreak and unlock almost any iPhone instantly! No downgrading then upgrading! You can do the unlock from 1.1.2, 1.1.3, 1.1.4. It will also jailbreak and activate as well as install Installer.app for you!

WARNING: THIS OPTION WILL DOWNGRADE YOUR BOOTLOADER TO 3.9.

ZiPhone performs all these functions:
- Unlock will work on 4.6 BL and 3.9 BL.
- Jailbreak will work on any OS version.
- Activation will work on any OS version, except for youtube on 1.0.X.
- iErase BL 3.9 Baseband

Step One
Download ZiPhone from: here

Step Two
Double click ZiPhoneOSX-2.5.tbz on your desktop to extract the ZiPhoneOSX application.

How to Unlock 1.1.2-1.1.4 iPhones with ZiPhone 2.5 GUI (Mac)

Step Three
Double click the ZiPhoneOSX application on your Desktop to launch it!

Step Four
Connect your iPhone to the computer and make sure iTunes detects it. Leave iTunes open.

Step Five
If you have a 3.9 or 4.6 BL iPhone you can now activate, jailbreak, and unlock! Just simply select the Do it all! box. Then click the Start Process button. NOTE****: THIS OPTION WILL DOWNGRADE YOUR BOOTLOADER TO 3.9.

Step Six
The program will now load zibri.dat. Then it will search for the iPhone. Once found it will tell you to wait for 4 minutes.

Step Seven
After this time your iPhone will reboot and it will be activated, jailbroken, and unlocked!!!!

NOTE*: After completion its probably a good idea to install BSD Subsystem first then OpenSSH from Installer.app

NOTE*: If you are in an unsupported country YOU MUST patch AppSupport after unlocking or your dialer will keep crashing as will your SMS:

Can someone help me, when i try to unlock, jailbreak my iphone its stop process, n when i try to start the process again, itunes can not detect my iphone, so my iphone now in blank condition just display zorro,,, please help

Does anyone know what the refurbish option in zipphone does? My phone keeps rebooting and restoring it doesn't seem to work

Not sure if anyone else is having problems using ZiPhone, but should you have a problem getting past the recovery mode when you try use Ziphone. What you have to do is once you hit the "Start Process" and then quit ITunes right after. Then it will continue doing its magic and your good to go.... Took me a while to figure this out, so I wanted to make sure no else wasted theres......

Hi, I just unlocked jaibroken my iphone 1.1.4 8GB. Unfortunately itunes will not let me see the summary, photos, playlists, music tabs anymore. Simply a devices on the left pane showing the iphone and the same list of music in the music folder. Can you help me with this? Or is it Permanent? Thanks

I am facing one problem while installation. I have just installed 3 new game and now I am not able to find the installer option into main desktop may be because there is no space into desktop so I am not able to uninstall the game. Please help me to find out the solution.

For those having issues with downloading packages from installer. Make sure that you not only refreshes the sources but as well clear up the queue, that way everything gets clean and now u can get to download ur stuff again.

I unlocked, activated and jailbroke the iphone using ziphone 2.5. BUT i have the email - mail application that crashes. I saw 'dood''s reply to change the user name to mobile. BUT oops his instructions go a little over my head. How do I do this please. I tried to download SSH - but I cant see it anywhere. HELP what do I do. Thank you and live love laugh

I unlocked, activated and jailbroke the iphone using ziphone 2.5. The only problem i have is that the phone tells me that its 'fixed number dialing active' and i cant use it as a phone. Please help..

Anyway, I got this trick from mypdacafe.com forum so the credit should goes to them. Okay, 1st step put atnt sim card or any working simcard, digi, maxis (other than celcom) n power on.. Wait till got some signal bar / no network display.. 2. Go to setting, carrier. It will search for network. (if no carier show, go back home and wait a while). wait till all 3 network found. (leave the right tick to default "automatic") 3. Press power button (put iphone on standy NOT OFF). 4. Replace the simcard with celcom. (the msg no sim will pop up.. just ignore it and just press the power button to put it on standby mode again) 5. Press power button then 'slide to unlock' You will see the network list. Choose celcom and go home.. Never enter carrier menu again. Note: on step 5 you need to unlock (keying sim card pin) 1st if you enable the sim lock. Good Luck

@wombat, im not sure that will be the case, but i've read that apple could easly check the serial number with the BL version and would know if you messed up with the iphone and brick your iphone or in the best case scenario just prevent you to upgrade. Maybe the iphone community can find a way to upgrade a downgraded BL iphone but still, makes it harder i guess. Any way, anyone know why that happened to me???

Hi i had an 1.1.3 16GB unlocked with ziphone (i dont remember what version). I tried to restore to 1.1.4 and i wanted to unlock my phone but keep BL 4.6, so i downloaded ziphone2.5c and ziphone2.3 so i could activate and jb with 2.5 and unlock with 2.3. I choose the second button, Dont Unlock, Activate and Jailbreak Only and then hit the Start Process Button. It ended up downgrading my BL to 3.9 and had an unlocked phone but not activated. I could see my provider's name on the top but had the slide for emergency screen. I even got an incoming call, I've never seen that. So i went to advanced options, selected activate and jailbreak and that took care of the problem. I now have an 1.1.4 unlocked phone with baseband 4.04.05, but i wanted to have BL 4.6 and baseband 4.02. Now i probably wont be able to update to fw 2.0 when it comes out. What did i do wrong so it doesn't happen again??? I guess ill have to sell this phone and get a new one and try the iplus method.

Works great! Yet one has to consider, that for the Unlock the original AT&T SIM-Card hast to be inserterd. I first restored to 1.1.4 from an unlocked OOTB 1.1.2 . Ziphine did not workl with the inserted Swisscom-SIM-Card.

I have the 16GB iPhone and been trying to jailbreak it and Unlock it for a while and everything seems to work but my dang YOUTUBE can never connect.. doesn anyone have a exact answer to why this is happening? i have been using the windows version and haven tried the mac version.. has anyone confirmed if youtube works.. i also am using AT&T service also.. plz HELP!!!!

OK, so I have a 1.1.3 OTB 16GB iPhone and a 1.0.2 OTB 8GB iPhone. I've unlocked and Jailbroken both using the Geohotz method a long time ago and the soft upgrade to 1.1.3. Will it be safe to restore both phones to 1.1.4 and use ZiPhone 2.5 to jailbreak and unlock? I don't want to do anything that will screw up my or my girlfriend's iPhone.

For those having issues with not being able to download anything via installer after jailbreaking ("cannot download package") you need to go to installer, go to sources at the top left click refresh and refresh all sources. That should do it...

I have an 1.1.2 OTB and i restored to 1.1.3 from iTunes, did it all with Ziphone and the iPhone stay forever in Recovery Mode...any ideas guys?
