Google has announced that the Gmail app for iOS now supports adding attachments from the Files app.
In the Gmail iOS app, when composing or replying to an email, you can now upload attachments from the Files app on your iPhone or iPad.
To add an attachment, tap the attachment icon when composing or replying to an email. Then scroll to the 'Attachments' section and tap the folder icon to select an attachment.
The feature started rolling out yesterday. It's an extended rollout which means that it could take potentially longer than 15 days for it to become visible to all users.
You can download Gmail from the App Store for free.
