Apple's rumored 16-inch MacBook Pro may use a 96W USB-C charger, according to information obtained by Chongdiantou.
A source sent the site a photo of the power adapter's label which reads "96W USB-C Power Adapter, Designed by Apple in California, Assembled in China, Model [A2166]."
The model number is difficult to read in the photo but in a Weibo post it's identified as A2166. The power adapter will supposedly be similar in size to the 87W USB-C power adapter for the 15-inch MacBook Pro.
Notably, Apple's upcoming Pro Display XDR features 96W pass-through charging which could be for charging the new MacBook Pro. No other MacBook requires that much power.
Apple could unveil the new MacBook Pro as early as this month. Please follow iClarified on Twitter, Facebook, or RSS for updates.
