Apple TV+ to Launch by November, May Cost $9.99/Month [Report]

Apple is planning to roll out its Apple TV+ subscription service by November, according to a new report from Bloomberg.

The service will launch with a small selection of shows then expand more frequently over several months, say sources. It's likely that Apple will offer a free trial as it builds up its library of content.

Different release strategies are being considered for the video service.

The company is considering offering the first three episodes of some programs, followed by weekly installments, the people said. Netflix tends to release whole seasons at once for bingeing, while AT&T’s HBO and Disney’s Hulu often release episodes weekly. The service will launch globally in over 150 countries.

Pricing hasn't been announced but sources say Apple is weighing a $9.99/month price point, matching Apple Music and Apple News+. This would be higher than Disney+ which launches in November for $6.99/month.

Earlier today, Apple released a full trailer for 'The Morning Show', one of the first original shows that will launch on Apple TV+.
