Check out this video unboxing and teardown of Ikea's new Fyrtur smart blinds with Apple HomeKit support. The video was posted by reddit user diy-techie earlier today.
Ikea launched its smart blinds in Sweden this month but the company is not expected to launch the blinds in the United States until October 1st.
The blinds will cost between $129 and $179; however, to get HomeKit support you'll also need to purchase Ikea's TRADFRI hub for $35.
The blinds are also compatible with the IKEA TRÅDFRI app which enables control directly from mobile or tablet together with our other IKEA Smart range. The app adds features such as simplified pairing and timer control of the blinds. WIRELESS app can be connected to both Apple Home and Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant for voice control.
