New AirPods and AirPower to Ship in 1H19 [Report]

Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo expects the company to start shipping new AirPods and its AirPower wireless charging mat in the first half of 2019.
This appears to corroborate a recent UDN report which claimed that Inventec had begun to ship the new headsets and predicted their release in spring of this year.
Rumors suggest that the new AirPods will feature a coating for better grip, a black color option, improved bass and possibly some health sensors. Their price is expected to increase to $199.
Notably, Kuo also predicts that Apple will launch a new iPod touch with a faster processor this year. References to the new device have already been found in iOS 12.2 beta.
Apple is expected to announce a services focused event for March 25th. It's possible that AirPower and the new AirPods will be launched at that event.
