Spectrum has announced the release of its Spectrum TV app for the Apple TV. The app supports Zero Sign On meaning that if you're connected to Spectrum's Internet service you do not need to authenticate as a subscriber.
Enjoy hundreds of live channels and thousands of On Demand titles when you're connected to your Spectrum Internet service. Available programming is based on your Spectrum TV subscription package. To get started, launch the app while connected to your Spectrum Internet service to sign in automatically.
EXPLORE SPECTRUM TV ● Find everything you’re watching in My Library, including recent channels and anything you've added to your Watchlist. ● Make specific channels or ratings only accessible with a PIN by turning on Parental Controls in Settings. ● Search for a title, actor, sport or team and get results from anywhere in the app. ● Enjoy hundreds of channels in Live TV, or visit Browse to choose from thousands of On Demand shows and movies. ● Create a personalized guide by setting favorite channels and then filtering the guide by favorites.
WHAT YOU NEED TO USE THIS APP ● A Spectrum TV and Internet subscription. ● Apple TV (4th generation) and Apple TV 4K (or above) support Spectrum TV
You can download Spectrum TV from the App Store for free.
Wait, Spectrum is offering no sign-in TV services, as long as you use it at home when you already have Spectrum cable services? Why would I watch something filtered through yet another box (ie. slower) when I can just watch live Spectrum TV. The service would be great if it was for phones or iPads, but it’s meaningless on Apple TVs.
