Looking at the chart below we can see performance numbers for AT&T, T-Mobile, and Verizon. The iPhone XS downloads at an average speed of 72.24Mbps and uploads at 14.88Mbps when connected to AT&T. That's significantly higher than the 27.67Mbps download and 10.28Mbps upload of the iPhone X.
Apple has equipped its new flagship device with a modem that supports Gigabit-class LTE with 4x4 MIMO and LAA. While dependent on carrier and location, most users can expect a notable increase in LTE performance if upgrading to the new iPhone XS.
The iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max are available to pre-order now and deliveries start on Friday, September 21st.
