Check out this hands on video with an iPhone 8 dummy model. The device was provided to YouTuber Marques Brownlee by Sonny Dickson.

Dummy models like this one are often created by case manufacturers based on supply chain leaks. The device features an edge-to-edge display, notched bezel, glass back, vertically oriented dual lens camera, and more.

Well I honestly prefer the traditional finger Touch ID. Facial recognition would be second option but I don't think is reasonable for them to totally wipe off finger Touch ID in ur next iPhone. What if it gets difficult trying to recognise your face at night or probably while in club. It sounds crazy holding your face close to your face while trying to recognise your face in order for it to unlock. Anyone could easily have a picture of you, please on front of the phone and have it unlocked.. just saying but finger ID is by face the best option here..

What if Apple make facial recognition so damn good that can easily detected a facial expression so when you set it up you add an expression, and then when you try to unlock the phone you do that expression for it to authenticate, for example (a smile or a wink, a tongue ... Etc)

Not having TouchID is a way bigger issue than Apple will let on. Facial recognition is not at all secure. There are many ways to overcome it. As an example, what if police confiscate a phone from someone and then just hold it up to a suspects face? The same could be done by a would be mugger or thief. A so called "not a cheap phone" that is lacking features sounds right inside Apples wheelhouse though so...

That's a very stupid example. Police or anyone could force you to put the finger in the TouchID, even worse, anyone can cut your finger to have "your TouchID" anywhere..

What the heck does Facial Recognition do in the dark. When im in my bed, or a dark night club or any such dark places?? Its dumb to get rid of touchid. Face reg. with touchid wouldve been a good addon. Not independently.
