Microsoft has unveiled a new Modern Keyboard with Fingerprint ID and a new Modern Mouse.

The company says it wanted to blend a fingerprint sensor into the keyboard that appeared to be like any other key. "We iterated relentlessly to improve each layer, making sure they came together to create a flawless typing experience that felt like any other key."

Thin & Strong
Microsoft Modern Keyboard with Fingerprint ID’s aluminum frame makes it not only of the highest quality, but heavy and virtually indestructible. It’s low profile, sleek design makes it an understated but elegant workhorse.

Wired or wireless
The option of using Microsoft Modern Keyboard with Fingerprint ID as either a wireless/wired interface gives connection options, making it more appealing to commercial audiences. We optimized the Bluetooth paring experience, enabling automatic pairing when you connect the cable at first OOBE.

The Bluetooth keyboard supports Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS. It's coming soon at a price of $129.99.

Does Microsoft have any shame in literally copying ever element of design and marketing from Apple? I would love to be a fly on the wall in their meetings and see if they even acknowledge the elephant in the room.

Wrong. Apple "should" have made a wireless keyboard with numpad and fingerprint sensor years ago. Recently they finally started with something useful but forgot the sensor... ;-)
