Here's how to get the AirPods' new Next Track and Previous Track functionality to work on iOS 10.
A couple days ago we reported that Apple introduced not only Next/Previous Track functionality in iOS 11 beta, but also the ability to set different actions on the left and right earbuds.
Since then we've discovered that once those functions have been set in iOS 11, they continue to work after pairing your AirPods back to an iOS 10 device. Obviously, don't try to adjust your AirPods settings in iOS 10 or it will be overwritten.
This is a great trick for those still using iOS 10 on their main device. Give it a shot and let us know if it worked for you!
