Apple Regulatory Filing Suggests New MacBooks, iPads, Magic Keyboard at WWDC

Posted May 31, 2017 at 3:08pm by iClarified
A new Russian regulatory filing in the Eurasian Economic Commission database reveals that Apple plans to launch five new Macs models, four new iPads models, and a new Magic Keyboard.

Spotted by Consomac, the filing identifies five new product models that run macOS 10.12: A1289, A1347, A1418, A1419, and A1481. It's believed these are new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros and a new 12-inch MacBook. There's also a chance an updated MacBook Air could arrive.

A new wireless keyboard is identified as model A1843 and four new iOS tablets are identified as models A1671, A1709, A1670, and A1701. It's likely that the new tablets are 10.5-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro devices as rumored. While there hasn't been much talk around an updated keyboard, Apple could be planning to bring its new Touch Bar to the device.

Adding to the likelihood of a WWDC refresh, shipping estimates on some Apple MacBook models have slipped to June 6th, the day after the WWDC keynote.

I'll upgrade to the newest MacBook Air, but only if there's a still a MagSafe and support for other SSDs (if not soldered that is)! USB-C I don't mind, but as long as it doesn't replace MagSafe.

Then you better get an old retired model and hold on to it forever because Apple already killed MagSafe.
