Apple has announced a big price hike for the U.K. App Store due to the depreciation of the pound following Britain's decision to leave the EU.
In a notice to developers, Apple revealed upcoming price increases for the U.K., Turkey, and India.
In the U.K., a tier one will now cost £0.99, up from £0.79. A tier two app will be £1.99, up from £1.49, and a tier ten purchase will be £9.99, up from £7.99. This amounts to price hike of over 25%.
In Turkey, a tier one app will cost 3,49 TL up from 2,69 TL. In India, prices jump from Rs 60 for a tier one app to Rs 80.
The new prices will roll out to the App Store over the next few days.
