Apple has officially announced a special event for October 27th at which the company is widely expected to announce updates to its Mac lineup.

Joanna Stern for the WSJ writes, "Apple Mac invites are out! Next Thursday will be my MacBook Air’s last day trip to Cupertino FOREVER!"

Apple is expected to unveil a new MacBook Pro with a OLED touch bar that replaces the function keys, updates to the MacBook Air, Mac Mini, iMac, and hopefully the Mac Pro. It's also possible that the company could finally release a new standalone 5K display.

Additionally, Apple will likely introduce updates to macOS and its various software applications to accommodate the new hardware..

The article always says what people have a questionable idea and always have something presented unexpected in a good way.

The whole point of having a laptop is portability. If you want a bigger screen go buy a desktop or a monitor for your laptop to plug into.

To me, I feel that 15-17" ranges from big enough ᵗ o too big. Imagine trying to lug around something that much and teying to find the right sized backpack for it and not to mention hundreds of extra dollars to pay for it! You got extra sizes to pick from, but it won't go near 20 " ever. When was the last time anyone wanted or even bought a laptop like that?
