The New iPhone is Just Worse [Video]

Posted September 9, 2016 at 7:56pm by iClarified
Check out this humorous spoof of the Apple iPhone 7 introduction video by College Humor entitled, "The New iPhone is Just Worse".

We've done something that at first seems counterintuitive--and then is: we've made it worse.

Take a look below!

Hey apple haters, go buy a Note 7 that has a headphone jack! But be careful that it may explode as you listen to music or watch a video.

for those people who are crying about the audio jack being removed i just ask want to ask how many people who owns an iPhone that you see everyday at home, in the street, subways, malls, etc that uses them with the headphones? It's weird coz i don't see them as much as how everyone is complaining and arguing about how they removed the audio jack.. just look around you even at home and observe how each person who owns it and how they use it.. try that for a week and then see if its really something that you should be crying about.. lol

Problem is they are taking away without adding. If they say it makes the phone 50m waterproof in the future then good. if they say now that the stock box earphones can detect my heartbeat or some other powered by lightning feature then I saw awesome. But until then it's flawed to remove it NOW. Honestly I don't think anyone minds if they remove it for a logical reason but people are scratching their heads.

Taking away without adding? Are you kidding me!? Tim mentioned how removing a jack added a few other components as well. At least the iPhone 7 has enough water depth to go below where it can handle, at least it has amped sound speakers, at least the force touch home button kept the functions in different form of use, and of course, improvements in battery, but if anything, don't miss out on trying those lightning headphones yourself. from what goes into cords based on build quality, the lightning headphones adds in that i2s sound as if it's a boomstick within headphones, plus the removal of the jack is just another example of how we live in a wireless world (that is if people choose AirPods). At least be glad your set ill holding on to your current iPhone for all we know!

Yes I am not kidding. They can find space elsewhere to put it in. There is a Taptic Engine in the Apple Watch. 6s is already water resistant just not advertised. iPhone is even thicker this time around. Hey put more battery and features. we don't mind a thicker phone. Still I think this should be the last step towards whatever they are trying to achieve. I'm already wireless in audio but I know people using aux cables on their 30pin iPhone stereos.

Honestly if they add the ear port back would you not buy the next iPhone 7s? Of course not. So let people express their concerns because it's important to them and doesn't detriment yours or my wireless audio practices. You realize that when people complain, Apple listens. Look at bend gate. Storage complaints. Etc They cannot afford to not listen. The market is saturated and there are plenty of alternatives to the non Apple people.

When Apple get rid of something on any device, it stays off. Not a single port on any Mac that disappeared has ever returned and it's no exception! Aside from that, if Apple did have space, they would sacrifice battery size and logic board components. You could argue it needs to be thick, but this is one of many reasons why the jack is gone. It's just not thin enough. Not to say your arguments are invalid, just trying to reason with you.

And make iOS insecure to risk theft just for all of that? No thanks dude! I like my 5s to, but it's now my backup. At least I can actually take my phone into water as a swimmer and can use the display underwater, plus the overhaul with the camera. I can't say no to that nor the A10 fusion that is a steep step ahead full power or not. Fun fact Id like to mention: there's an article that says matching iPhone 7 specs isn't as easy as it seems (somewhere along those lines). You'll see what it mentions when you see for yourself, oh and stereo speakers + lightning output for headphone audio! Why the heck not?

Have anybody seen one of my ear Pods, I seem to have lost one of them, damn it, I knew it, I would loose it this fast, fuk me damn it, I would just go and buy another one, problem solved and If I loose it again I would buy it again and again, it's my money and apples too.

False. It's just a headphone jack removal and most of the world goes ape shit over this necessary change that added so much in the end. What makes this 'problem' a bigger joke to tattle tellers is that they want it to be a problem when we have multiple solutions and hell, one of them was prior to the iPhone 7 release! Here they are: Keeping old models as backup, using iPods, lightning headphones, and adapters. Not that hard was it?

True! ReMoving headphone port so Apple can make more money is disgusting. What's even more sadder is all the people who think it's a good idea.

You guys don't even know the benefits in going lightening vs aux... I don't blame y'all cause 99% of you guys aren't engineers. Headphone jacks only deliver L/R analog audio signals... The power with lightening you can transfer POWER and digital audio (i2s) and the benefit in that is simple: headphones now can come out with Audio DAC & AMPS in side the headphones so you can get better sound quality and base... AND you won't have to use a external batter that you typically plug in let's say.... Bose's headphone.

Wouldn't all that power going into small speakers be overkill? I feel those small buds wouldn't need THAT much power.
Hardware engineer
Hardware engineer - September 10, 2016 at 7:25am
Just because there is power delivery doesn't mean it has to be a lot of power, just enough to power the audio Dac vs let's say using a double A battery like Bose does.

Offence can only be taken, not given. If you do not like something, either hit unfriend, unfollow, exit or quit. But in this situation I will recommend the door. No need to act like babies and throw your toys around because you lost your pacifier and you hate every other pacifier in the shop - you are still just acting like a baby and everyone is laughing at you.
