Bryan Mitchell Releases Geared 1.1

Independent game developer Bryan Mitchell has released Geared 1.1, an update to his popular gear-based strategy game for iPhone and iPod Touch. Designed specifically to take advantage of the iPhone's unique capabilities and interface, Geared features a free-form environment unrestrained by the traditional snap-grid experience. It offers complete freedom to the player, bestowing every puzzle with a near infinite array of choices.

Players pit their intellect against 120 unique and original levels of gameplay with varying difficulties (easy to near-impossible). Geared features a level selection menu, play time tracker, rank awards and original sound effects. From the application preferences, users can reset all levels as well as mute sound effects allowing them to play their own music during gameplay. Game progress is saved automatically, and returns the player to last level that was open.

Version 1.1 sports an improved UI performance and appearance with many new improvements and minor bug fixes, Geared now offers 40 new levels, 2 new gameplay elements and improved Help instructions. Players may now skip up to 5 levels at a time. The game features a new Reset Level Button (Setting for Single-Tap or Double-Tap), Gear Inventory Drag Offset (Setting for Amount of Offset), Gear "Ring" Movement Tool (Larger Draggable Area) and a new level completed indicator for keeping track. Bryan Mitchell has also launched a new community section offering news, tips, and game discussion.
