Leaked iPhone 7 Screen Assembly? [Photos]

Leaked iPhone 7 Screen Assembly? [Photos]

Posted August 11, 2016 at 3:55pm by iClarified
New photos of a purported iPhone 7 front panel and LCD have been leaked by GeekBar.

The photos do not appear to have the same cutout for a physical home button as the iPhone 6/6s which may align with rumors that the device will have a flush '3D Touch' Home button. Please note the image is upside so the home button would be at the top.

Take a look at the images below and let us know what you think in the comments!

I hope there's an actual button. I hated the capacitive button on the OnePlus 2

There will be after what we got with touch I.D., reach ability, pressing gestures, Apple Pay, etc. so I doubt there won't be one but it may come in force touch which means it could replace the pressing. I hope that is coming like this because this change could mean the button could last longer

Also if you look at the backlight only picture, you will see that there is a male FPC connector on the left. That is where the home button flex will connect.

The home button cut out is there, it is just behind the flex cable.

With a physical home button screen assembly you can usually see right through the front panel. In this case you can't.

In the picture taken the flex cable is facing up, once the heat shield backplate will be installed, the flex cable will be put down. At that point you will be able to see the hole. I am 100% sure that this year Apple will not get rid of he home button.
