Apple Plans to Launch New iPhone SE and iPad 11 by April [Gurman]

Apple is planning to launch its next-generation iPhone SE and iPad 11 by April, according to Mark Gurman.
In a post on X today, Gurman dismissed a rumor claiming that Apple would release its new devices alongside iOS 18.3 this month as "completely untrue."
He clarified that while the devices are being developed with iOS 18.3, this does not imply they will be released at the same time.
Yes, the new iPads and iPhone SE replacement are being developed on the iOS 18.3 train - but that doesn't mean they launch together this month. It means they'll launch before iOS 18.4, by April if all goes to plan.
Apple's new low-cost iPhone, codenamed V59, will be the first refresh of the company's low-end smartphone since 2022, when 5G capability was added. With the new model, Apple is expected to drop the home button and transition to an edge-to-edge screen, aligning it with the rest of its lineup. This change could help Apple win back budget-minded shoppers, particularly in China, where it has lost market share to Huawei and Xiaomi.
The iPhone is believed to support Apple Intelligence and feature a design similar to the iPhone 14, complete with a notch cutout at the top of the display. It may also use an OLED display panel, marking the end of LCD use in all iPhone models.
Notably, the new iPhone model is also expected to feature a 48MP rear camera and a 12MP front camera from LG Innotek. Additionally, it will reportedly debut Apple's first in-house 5G modem.
