Pangu Team Releases First Jailbreak for the New Apple TV

Pangu Team has released the first jailbreak for the new Apple TV 4.

Please note that the jailbreak just works on tvOS 9.0-9.0.1, so if you've already updated you won't be able to jailbreak your device.

Currently, the jailbreak only provides SSH access to the Apple TV for developers. However, it likely won't be long before we see some packages and perhaps an installer for tweaks.

You can download the jailbreak from here. We'll be posting instructions on how to jailbreak your device shortly.

I got lucky, i had just recently bought an apple tv 4 (with in a week or so) which i left in auto update, so today i see that it was on the newest firmware 9.2.1, so i went to best buy and had it swapped for another which has 9.0 on it!!!

Theses guys have better things to do than pander to constant ( why not 9.2?) (why not 9.2.1?) etc etc.... They do have lives to live you know! It will be released when it's released !!! Jeez

Thanks for the tip, sideloading ftw! Jailbreaking makes life easier, no Xcode n Mac in between but all from AppleTv. As they described this is for devs so as soon as things catch up im sure they will release jailbreak of the lastes TVOs.... Meanwhile gotta sideload that Kodi now! Just need the bloody usb-c cable...

Why not 9.1? :( I turned auto software updates off as soon as I heard about pangu releasing a jailbreak but it's already on iOS 9.1

why pangu team not released ios 9.2 jailbreak
