Pangu Releases iOS 9.1 Jailbreak [Download]

Posted March 11, 2016 at 3:20pm by iClarified
Pangu has just released a jailbreak for iOS 9.1. The updated jailbreak utility is available for both Windows and Mac and now supports iOS 9.0 - iOS 9.1. It also brings support for the iPad Pro but excludes older 32-bit devices.

The team notes that Pangu9 V1.3.0 uses a kernel bug from Lokihardt to exploit iOS 9.1, and the bug is patched in iOS 9.2.

If you're still on iOS 9.1 you can download the new jailbreak utility from the link below:

One day, someone will find a way to defeat Apple's signing mechanism.

No once apple stops signing firmware you are unable to install old firmware. Sometime they make a certain version available and you can go back.

I'm confused if I can upgrade from 8.1.2 to 9.1 manually and jailbreak. Please can someone explain instead of giving all sarcastic reply. Lol

The reason for a sarcastic reply is because you can't it has to be the firmware that Apple is signing, apple no longer signs 9.1 you would shave to upgrade to 9.2.1 which still has no JB

Now I got it. I was so excited I even formatted my laptop as my iTunes wasn't working properly for last few months. Now that I just saw your message I am :( I guess I have to stay on 8.1.2 for a little longer. Well Such is Life.... Thank you for the reply.

If you guys don't know that 9.1 isn't being signed anymore....you don't deserve the jailbreak...lol jkjkjk

The confused comments make zero sense. Of course the jailbreak is for 9.1. The last jailbreak was for 9.0. Your fault if you upgraded to 9.2 or higher. I made sure to stay on 9.1 and all is good.

JuergenWest
JuergenWest - March 11, 2016 at 9:35pm
No it is not. Can only update (restore actually) to 9.2.1 until 9.3 is released.

AverageReviewer
AverageReviewer - March 12, 2016 at 3:43pm
Okay seriously tho if you don't know the answer to that you shouldn't be jail breaking!! If apple isn't signing the software then no you can't restore to it
