Apple is expected to start producing new 12-inch and 13.3-inch MacBooks at the end of Q1 2016 or early in Q2 and start producing 15-inch models in Q3, reports DigiTimes.
The site claims that shipments will remain similar to that of 2015 with about 20 million units getting shipped in 2016.
But despite flat shipment performance, new MacBook and iMac products for 2016 are expected to boost the company's overall product ASPs, according to sources from the supply chain.
Apple is expected to update its notebooks with Intel's new Skylake processors and Thunderbolt 3 with USB-C.
The 12-inch and 13-inch updates could potentially be unveiled at a press event in March. Apple is also predicted to unveil a 4-inch iPhone, an iPad Air 3, and new Apple Watch bands during the event.
