A leaked battery for the iPhone 6s Plus reveals a smaller capacity than the battery for the iPhone 6 Plus, reports apple.club.tw.

The leaked battery has a capacity of 2750 mAh, that's 165 mAh less than the iPhone 6 Plus battery at 2915 mAh.

Notably, Apple revealed a similar reduction in battery capacity for the iPhone 6s. Confirmation of the smaller battery size came from the iPhone 6s Introduction Video which shows the battery marked with a capacity of 1715mAh. That's down from the iPhone 6 at 1810mAH.

Despite the smaller batteries, power consumption improvements in the newer iPhones are expected to offset the capacity loss. We'll let you how battery life is once Apple releases the iPhone 6s on September 25th.

I use the 5s and 6 and 6 plus for personal lines and business. Since I bought my first iPhone 3G that had to be jail broken so I could use it with T-Mobile years ago I have been in heaven. I bought android phone after android phone with no good results to speak of, every iPhone I've owned has lasted years and the 6plus is by far the best phone ever. Battery life is ridiculously good. Yes I keep my apps closed and I don't run my brightness on high, and most days it lasts all day with 20-40 percent left at midnight. I cannot wait for my 6plusS rose gold to show up, even more I cannot wait for the jailbreak of ios9, it's going to be incredible. Probably one of my favorite things about apple is the ease of jailbreak and the fact any normal joe can do it. Things like movie-box etc have saved me mega mega dollars. Yes I'm an apple fan, not because I'm bored and a follower, but because they literally make the best of the best.

Can't they at least keep the f&*king battery size to extend the battery life a little bit!?! I am sick of not having much juice left after a few hours of use! And stop advertising 12-14 hours of battery life. It never gets anywhere near that figure!!!

I bet because the nest one will be advertised as 30% larger. Sure from a pre shrunken battery. I'm not saying I'll give up my iPhone by damn this is ridiculous.

Maybe it's because you 1. Have brightness too high. 2. Have so many apps running. Or 3. Have so many signals or location services used. Any of these drains the battery. Plus why not get an ampy. It will save all that trouble, or just use low power mode.

Why the hell would I want to downgrade my issue or services on my iPhone to save battery? If like to use it just the way I'd like to use it without loosing juice. That's ridiculous but yeah. I've disable location services and left only when using app on some because I want that on. Apple just needs to build a decent battery. That's all.
