Samsung Mocks iPhone With 'It's Not a Phone, It's a Galaxy' Ad Campaign [Video]

Posted September 11, 2015 at 3:31pm by iClarified
Samsung has launched a new ad campaign called, "It's Not a Phone, It's a Galaxy" mocking the Apple iPhone

Stop wasting time fumbling with power cords, the Galaxy Note5 and Galaxy S6 edge+ have too much to explore. It’s not a phone, it’s a Galaxy.

The campaign's title is likely a play on Apple recent ads that say, "If it's not an iPhone. It's not an iPhone."

Hahaha. They posting ads trying to talk big, Apple didn't have to lay off people like somebody else did last week though.

What a wildly creepy company. It gets worse. Like it's not even funny. Stalker is another appropriate word.

I wish iphone has wireless and quick charge(real quick charge. I already know the iPad charger trick) I don't mind Samsung shaming apple. In fact in the future I would like to see no ports. Bluetooth and wireless charging is a waterproof deaign( doesn't have to go underwater )

Samsung is/has lost market share, hmmmm I wonder why? Apple is gaining? Hmmmm I wonder why? I'd rather have a functional 3-d touch than a wireless pad. I guess Samsung is going to work on that next. For its a galaxy it's a loser.

I think it's really pathetic that Samsung has to market like this.

Wireless charging is less efficient. You also can't really use the phone as easily compared to wired. It's not really that much more time saving compared to plugging in a wire. Samsung needs to stop being a pretender start focussing on their own qualities. It's getting stale with their lack of self confidence.

So wireless charging is a huge deal? I think not

I wouldn't say Samsung won this at all. Wireless charging is the future but it's a useless feature until we see numerous charging pads at coffee shops, restaurants, etc. Also I'm also not gonna pay $50 (each) for a wireless dock for my bed room, living room and my office at work. I think Apple knows this. They'll probably wait until the iPhone 7 to implement it due to customer demand. Although I'm afraid Apple's charging pads will be just as expensive. Competition is here, so we all win.

And how do you use it while it's charging?

Plug it in and now you can use it
Vic
Vic - September 11, 2015 at 4:46pm
Exactly. So this makes wireless charging a useless feature, only for looks. Sure apple will come up with it, but it's a pointless accessory only for looks.

Let's face it. Wireless technology is a big deal. That's all the punch that can be thrown for comparison. C'mon both of you and get back to the drawing board. A winner still emerged

Mocke when Samsung is able to make it chargeable over wifi or chargeable without putting the phone on the charging pot. If you have to travel you still have to carry they shit with you and look extra space on you bag for that. This is a useless things to waste money on....

yeap , you are right but what about when you gotta buy an apple charging cable every 4 months , maybe you need to consider that those cables are extra cost as well .. sadly samsung got it this time!!

I agree with you you cannot hold the phone on your hand while you charging it or you can receive a call unless you wanna put it on loud speaker for everybody to hear your conversation

Hey Coco, tell that to the 10,000 employees of Samsung who were let go/Fired due to the failures of its phone. Love the concept but it's Samsuck and you have the replace the phone, battery more often that cable itself.

It's ok to have a different phone, car, house or whatever. Trying to take away from another company to look better yourself is immature and unprofessional. I think Samsung needs a different kind of upgrade: an internal one.

And still Samsung sales are going down and iPhone sales are surging .... I feel bad for Samsung it's a great company but lacks the wow factor of apple for some reason ....
